On July 20, 2026, Russia announced that its visa-free policy for Chinese ordinary passport holders has been extended until December 31, 2027. Effective from December 1, 2025, Chinese citizens traveling to Russia for tourism or business purposes are eligible for a visa-free stay of up to 30 days. Travelers visiting Russia for purposes other than tourism or business are still required to obtain the appropriate visa in advance in accordance with the applicable regulations.
